Pros

Good dealflow, flat structure, good exposure, good modeling skills learned. Hours aren't bad, not typical of ibanking. I learned a lot very quickly.

Cons

Working on smaller deals. Sometimes it seems that there is not enough work to go around, and other times it really comes all at once.

Pros

The PTO and Holiday Time is wonderful! I truly love working for a large company because there are tons of opportunities for you to grown.

Cons

As a large company, you are a number...and now Key is outsourcing a LOT..We work with lots of overseas folks. It's sad we can't keep things in the US. It's very difficult to work in this situation. times are tough now, and Key is under scrutiny because of the financial market. That is definitely a downside, no matter how you look at it. Key started Keyvolution. This reminds me of office space..I'm anxious to see what happens Our group is expected to work a lot of hours. This company used to promote work/life balance. Now, I don't believe that is so.

Pros

KeyBank is not a huge bank where you're just a number, it's substantial in size with a main street feel. It's not a cut throat firm where you must step on others in order to get ahead. People are generally friendly and want to help. The benefits are great and they are pretty flexible with time off requests.

Cons

The compensation is not the greatest and I don't feel like my voice matters. They also do not provide water, tea, coffee, eating utensils, which I thought was standard, but turns out they were a luxury.
