High Stress and Low Pay

Pros

All holidays paid, 9-5 work schedule with the majority of the weekend free, good benefits and 401K

Cons

Frequently reprimanded for not meeting sales/referral goals. Tellers are expected to sell products rather than provide quality customer service. Company sets unrealistic sales/referral goals and encourages competition over teamwork in the branches. Tellers stealing referral opportunities from other employees or taking credit for referrals they did not earn happens frequently.

Pros

A 40 hour week and good location.

Cons

Very hostile environment, almost no opportunity for professional growth. Promotions not based on merits. No one shares knowledge or information, everyone protects their territory fanatically. No direction from management to new employees-half the time because they are clueless, half the time on purpose. Because of obsolete systems and company culture it's hard to get rid of some unproductive people with outdated skills who have worked there for many years and practically "own" the place. They will do everything they can to attack new talent. If you want more from your life and career and want to stay marketable DON'T WORK THERE. Glad i left!

Pros

Most associates were team players and very personable, others - senior management if you did not click in their clique you were an outsider.

Cons

lots of cliques and favoritism.
