Pros

Flexibility and autonomy. You don't sit at a desk all day. You are an authority on solving problems. You meet many people, and see the manufacturing Industry inside and out. You make a ton of Money. Work hard, hit your goals, be proactive.

Cons

Travel can wear on you. They utilize many many metrics. Sometimes the pressure to achieve optimally in these strategies can be stressful. As with all jobs, the wrong manager will micromanage, which adds lots of stress.

Pros

There is a lot of opportunity to learn at Keyence. You will need to wear many hats.

Cons

They are very rigid regarding timing and there is very little flexibility. Training for corporate team members is nonexistent, making the work very trial and error and sometimes gives the feeling of being set up to fail.

Pros

Great compensation plan (pay really high bonuses), an insurance plan that is hard to compete with (including the percentage Keyence pays for its employee and their families!), the many philosophies that are looked at when deciding to take/not take an action, the vitaility/stability the Company has sustained when other companies had layoffs, the way the company consistently challenges us to be better than the year before and ultimately the Direct Sales approach that other companies don't seem to be able to get right. The team spirit of all of my colleagues to be #1 in this industry!

Cons

Since we are an ethical company that doesn't believe in unfair competition, we tend to lose people to other companies that don't share the same ideals. My collegues don't seem to really understand the benefits of working here, the Keyence's philosophies and values I have seen throughout my years and "fall" to the recruiter's prey/tactics. I have heard plenty of rumors of people calling Keyence back because it wasn't all that was promised or they didn't have the support they once had here, but then it's too late. It's sad actually.
