Pros

The job is set up very well. I find it easy to succeed as long as you go through the motions. It is a great place to really develop your skills and find how you operate in sales. They'll really throw you through the ringer with training, you run all over the place, but in sales you want that so it doesn't get stagnant. The competitors will be all over you for working here. Expect a call once a week at least.

Cons

Work life balance isn't the greatest, you start early in the office at 730. You get paid well but at times it feels like you deserve a little more. I really have no complaints other than that. Oh and lose the tie, we are the butt of jokes due to the professional dress code. I'm expecting a 2-5 year burnout.

Pros

Decent Pay out of college. Great training program for getting you started in your territory. Teaches you good discipline for outside sales.

Cons

Commission is low compared to most other capital equipment companies. They have huge metrics and track EVERYTHING. Selling is secondary to your "activity. Full of middle managers who don't know how to manage. They are sales engineers also, so they actually compete with their own team instead of mentoring them. Zero fun in the office. Don't expect to talk, laugh, or even smile in the office. Ever.

Pros

Good Products Every company you work for after will seem like a dream

Cons

Intense micromanagement Expect quick burnout (You will hate your job and life within 6 months) Beyond initial training, there is zero employee development Keyence is not well known in the united states, so expect to do a lot of your own product marketing in your territory Management does not trust employees whatsoever and you will always feel like big brother is watching you (and they will be)
