Pros

- Energetic, forward-thinking environment. New technologies were embraced eagerly, and employees, at least in my department, were treated appropriately as the subject matter experts they were hired to be. - Employee-to-employee camaraderie is unlike any place I've ever been. - As of when I left, they were very big on company culture, and tried to maintain regular events (including a bigger summer and winter party). - Encouragement to learn.

Cons

- No career growth opportunities, at least not in my own department. - Initial pay started decent, but there was no clear promotion/salary increase schedule. - HR was basically unapproachable; there was no clear system in place for grievances or complaints, and while the employee at the time who constituted HR was a lovely person, they were overworked and unappreciated from my point of view. - Because HR was unapproachable, when employees fell ill or otherwise had personal issues to contend with, they could not rely on assistance from the HR department. If their boss was not understanding, the employee ran the risk of suffering or otherwise being ostracized as a result. - Management was, at least in part, built from old friends and coworkers, and this created at atmosphere of unapproachability in some cases. - Work/Life balance was absolutely non-existent. At times I was working 10-16 hour days to complete my work. It was expected that you might go home and get back on in order to complete everything. At any given time employees could be juggling a dozen or two dozen projects/updates.

As you know I am always open to fair criticism. I have also said starting a company from scratch can be hard and not without its issues. A company that has grown from 5 employees in 2015 to over 300 will evolve, improve and get better each day. What I do not accept for anyone to say is we don’t care about our employees. We speak about our culture everyday, how do we provide a great environment, and how do we improve (see points above). I will admit we are a very fast pace business, have very high expectations from all, and are growing our employees/partners faster than any of our global competitors. But, we care about our people! If you were here a few months ago you would had participated in our global survey. While room to grow we received a 50% engaged score, which compared favorably to global engaged of 15%. You would have also seen we put out three key human capital initiatives 6 months ago revolving around communication, training, and career pathing. While not 100% complete, we have made progress. Building a fast growing company is like building a jet airplane mid flight, but never will a tolerate a culture that does not care for its people (again not perfect see above). It wasn’t a good fit for you, that happens, and wish you all the best. Steve

Pros

Some of the employees are fabulous people, helpful, kind, caring - just great people!

Cons

Senior leadership will say and act as though they care about you - they do not. Watch what they do not what they say. If you are considering a performance role - be aware!! very aware!! If you outperform, if you close large deals, your role will be eliminated. That is what happened to me - Brought in $24MM of new business (4x goal) and 2 weeks before Christmas, two weeks before my first (large) commission check, I was let go and offered 2 weeks severance. I was denied any opportunity to review this with leadership and was told by corporate to hire an attorney. My manager was not even present when this all went down - just an HR person on the phone and it was her 2nd day. You will hear mentions from your contacts about being cautious of the leadership here as I did - listen to them! I put my faith in and devoted my best efforts to this leadership and mission - sure enough after outperforming - I was let go. The impact on me and my family will never be forgotten.

While I do not know your specifics we do hire both employees with experience and newer folks with limited experience. Obviously it can be a high learning curve. We are always looking to improve and will evaluate if we can get better on your suggestion.
