Pros

Coworkers are for the most part friendly and knowledgeable. Some of the projects are interesting to work on.

Cons

The pay sucks. If you can manage it, get a real job in the South Bay-- there, you will easily get 20-30% more in base pay. Keysight will only ever give out stock to people they are afraid will leave the company. There is no professional growth whatsoever-- the people that work there stay for decades, and so there's zero growth for anyone. After a while, it starts to feel like "doing time".

Pros

No pros. Inherits the reputation from its legacy.

Cons

They treat their employees as commodity. They will not invest to train or develop or even do a knowledge transfer for a new employee but expect results. They have long since abandoned their HP culture. Very corrupt managers who stick around for the stock price and enhancing their retirement income. Extremely low quality code, hacked together. Absolutely no emphasis on quality - just shipping and capturing market. Business emphasis overwhelms all other aspects - with little focus on engineering or quality.

Pros

Good company overall, good benefits, interesting products, great coworkers

Cons

KGM management does not take any feedback. They make it hard for you to do your job by constantly giving you urgent, meaningless tasks on top of what you already have to do. Retention in KGM is terrible and people only stay in the org for around 1 year. Managers don't seem to care about you as a person, but rather how they can use you to make themselves look better to their superiors. Morale is low and you will be talked to in a derogatory, aggressive way. It's your fault, never management's.
