Pros

Interacting with the clients, making a difference in their lives. These are really the only good things about this crappy job.

Cons

$10 wages. No chance of a raise. Supervisors that don't care and throw you under the bus when things get rocky. Co-workers that do the minimum. Rules and procedures that change on a daily basis. This job is ridiculous; I love my clients, but as soon as I get an offer I'm gone.

Pros

Keystone university is an excellent program hat keeps staff well educated.

Cons

Communication is poor, They put people who are inept in positions of authority. they try to force you to work in areas other than the program you were hired for. The whole orientation is like an attempt at brainwashing, showing you PwerPoints then attempting to get you to read off what it says in order to indoctrinate you to their belief system and requiremnets for you.

Pros

Training and support is excellent and consistent. Co-workers and superiors are professional and interested in growth of employees.

Cons

Nature of the job of supporting children/people with autism and/or disabilities is challenging. Schools and teachers are not always supportive or understanding of a therapist's work or benefit to the child.
