Pros

Remote during covid and the health benefits are good.

Cons

Remote on boarding of new employees is not good. My boss left like 2 months into my employment and my “mentor” was over loaded with many other people to train and assist. Everyone talks about “teamwork” but no one genuinely wants to help you. The whole “you can call me my door is always open I’m here to help you” saying isn’t applicable here. There is no collaboration among the team and the 2 meetings each day are to report your numbers. No brain storming, no group discussions or trainings, and asking leadership for one on one coaching is akin to pulling teeth. Additionally if the senior members of your team don’t get along with you on a personal level, you can kiss your job goodbye. The environment is like if you transferred to a new high school and everyone at your new school is so insecure they put on a front to get you to think you’re a member of the team, then talk about you behind your back to leadership— especially if you’re out performing tenured employees. They will gladly keep on those team members who barely pull their weight as long as they blend into the wallpaper. Additionally it will take the average person well over a year to build a decent book of business (but beware, your colleagues are going to call people you just talked to and submit them to roles to make money off your candidates) which in turn builds a huge level of mistrust among you and your team mates. You also aren’t working 8-5. You’re going to work weekends, you’re going to work till 7pm a few nights a week. All for an average salary (yeah you’re not getting over time here, so enjoy working 50-60 hours a week and working thru your lunch). If you want a passive aggressive, average paying, no work life balance job, this is a great entry for you into the world of recruiting. I’ve never been more disappointed in a work experience in professional career, but then again given how new the team is (no recruiter has more than 2 years of tenure, most having 1 year or less). I truly hope y’all adapt and don’t lose more team members, because that’s a lot of money lost due to poor communication and a lack of leadership.
