Pros

There is an opportunity here to work with some of the best and most seasoned recruiters in the Boston area. In some cases, the associates at KForce have worked here for 2 decades and bring several economic cycles to the marketplace. The years of experience have to be the best part of working with the senior people, but also the flexibility to come and go as you please is a great plus. Furthermore its up to you to make the money and establish your credibility in this town. They are not in the mode of critiquing unless you are in major trouble.

Cons

KForce is a large publicly traded company and with that comes required attention to the shareholders. This leads to pressure on expedenditures and in non ".COM" markets, sometimes keeping the employee base happy means spending a little money on them (base salaries, benefits, social events, etc). Sometimes the management is very hands off which for most people is a major plus, but for other newer associates who are very green, this can affect their ability to start working at a competitive pace. The company truly is a good company though and the organization has spent the last couple of years trying to re-establish the reputation from the late 90s (mostly through hiring good people).

Pros

Size and footprint, national recruiting and centralized recruiting support. Support of sales campaign planning and national branding strategies. Major account leverage into local markets. This company compensates producers very well, as well or better than most if you are capable of producing.

Cons

Lack of coordinated back office support, disorganized corporate support related to client billing and support services. Their is a lack of patience for acct mgrs that are new to a market or new to their role. To ths end, those that do not have an established base of client relationships can expect a short leash to produce from cold calling.
