Pros

I've been able to build a career and attain massive compensation growth through commissions and merit-based raises which are evaluated frequently. My direct leaders are amazing and make me feel valued. I've been given mentorship and guidance and frequently asked for my opinion. I genuinely feel like my perspective is valued.

Cons

They recently improved their maternity leave policy but I think there's still room to make it more competitive. I think robust maternity/paternity plans are what show employees they are values long-term and can build careers here for life. Hoping those changes happen soon!

Underpaid, Overworked, Lacks True Diversity

Pros

Tight knit teams who care on a smaller level.

Cons

- Lack of diversity in upper level leadership - Unfairly paid employees. Employees in same position may have huge differences in pay range. ($10k plus). - Newer employees consistently coming in at higher salary than tenured employees, even when coming in at a lower level position. - Lack of LGBTQ+ support or even recognition. The upper level management is homophobic in that they refuse to even change the company social media logo during Pride month like most other companies. This is likely due to their religious beliefs. - The compensation does not align with market rates. Even if you provide a good argument, showing the market research as well as receiving positive annual review feedback, they will still not make any significant changes in pay. This results in 2-5% annual increases that doesn't even keep up with inflation. - Favoritism is very apparent, especially amongst decisions for promotions and leadership. It is not based on your performance, work ethic, or experience. Much leadership is placed without prior education or applicable experience. - Any time the company is experiencing any kind of financial strain, you can always expect mass layoffs. Especially when it comes time for the shareholder call each quarter. It is almost guaranteed that there will be at least a few people laid off. Kforce has gained a reputation for this, both in and out of the company. - Leadership often takes credit for what their team has completed, leaving no opportunity or visibility for lower level staff. - An attempt at making up for lack of compensation is made with company-wide events, knick knacks, etc. This doesn't equate to a fair salary. - Red flag: The commonly used hashtag is #KforceFamily. Most know that this is a red flag within any workplace. Using "family" gives the feeling that you are expected to work without return and causes for a feeling of guilt, and not being able to mentally shut off from work at 5pm. - Failure to listen to and take constructive criticism from employees. - The healthcare benefits packages are either affordable, with hardly any coverage and a high deductible, or very expensive with a high deductible and mediocre coverage. - Holiday bonuses are only 2-5% for lower level employees, if they even do bonuses that year. Bonuses for upper level management has at times been up to 30-40%, and seemed to coincide with that leader shrinking down their team with lay offs, resulting in less employees doing more work.
