Rewarding job because you are giving back to the community. Good job for experience.. Especially for a college student.

Cons

Lots of drama between staff. Very little room for professional growth. No salary increases.

In rare instances the kids receiving care actually want help and those cases can be very rewarding. Co-workers often help each other out

Cons

Caseloads are often too high to be able to provide quality work. Pay for therapists is well below the local average. Supervisors show little to no appreciation to staff. Turn over is very high

Pros

Loved my job and the people I worked with.

Cons

The salary was so low, that after taxes, paying for health insurance, daycare, etc, there was nothing left. We actually had to give back a percentage of our salaries! They have filled bankruptcy twice since I've left, and from what I understand, things are not getting any better. They also lay people off left and right as if everyone is expendable.
