Pros

Purpose and coworkers are hands down why I stay. I go to work each day knowing I am making a change in the lives of our clients.

Cons

Emotional and burnout can take over, if you let it. Always step back and take time for self care. I don’t agree with and refuse to jump into the negativity by a few. They do not represent the majority!

Pros

Feel you can do good there. Training was thorough.

Cons

What we learned in training was not followed through in field, causing dangerous situations, unethical standards and general inconsistency and chaos. The children's areas could be much improved.

Helping kids and families is worth it!

Pros

The work that we do really does make a big difference. Sometimes the results come right away and other times you see kids and families succeed later in life. The kids often resist treatment in the beginning but eventually come around and make relationships with the staff and teachers.

Cons

The hours and pay are tough for direct care but thankfully the pay is being raised substantially in 2017.
