We have not had any employee leave in the last 6 months. We do not understand this review, and we are unable to make improvements since not a single "con" is listed.

No Team Spirit, Revolving Door

Pros

Salary was average. I can't think of much more as far as pros.

Cons

Does not care about their employees. There is no team spirit, no company culture. Everyone closes their door, keep to themselves. Employees come and go from this place like a revolving door. Their code base is atrocious, just like the equipment they expect you to use (old computers). Practically no vacation time or benefits. Small company, no room for advancement. Training is almost non-existent. No educational benefits either. You are on your own at this place. Good luck. The atmosphere is depressing. Glad I don't work there anymore.

This is also an odd review: We have not had any engineers that worked here for more than 3 years leave us in a long time (years). Searching through our records, nobody comes to mind. This must be a very old grudge that is just now being posted. Our vacation plan is: two weeks for employees with 0 to 5 years with the company, three weeks for employees with 5 - 10 years with the company, and four weeks for employees with 10 years or more with the company. Also, we have one week of sick time and 8 company holidays. We pay 50% of all health insurance costs for employees including families. We have a full tuition reimbursement plan and we encourage employees to use it. It must benefit the company, so it's general for technical classes, project management, and related education. Less than two years ago we have bought brand-new computers and large screens for every employee. Saying employees have to use old computers is an outright lie. It makes no sense for a software company to have people use old computers. We don't have a death-wish. About code base: We are a 25-year-old company, and we still support customers that bought systems from us 20 years ago. We cannot force our customers to upgrade in some cases. So there is old code to support here, like there is in any old company. However, we also have systems on mobile applications that were designed and implemented in 2018. So a blanket statement about "atrocious" code is confusing. There are several hundreds of man-years of code in this company. Revolving door: We have very little employee turnover. We have some people who have been with the company for more than 20 years, many for more than 10 years. Enough. I sound defensive.
