Pros

The people I worked with have an excellent sense of humor. You will gain experience with this company, enough to move on.

Cons

Not a good place to stay and make your career. Good, capable staff driven away and replaced with ones who are terrible; and those are the ones that stay. Complaints are ignored, nothing gets resolved. This company is abusive to the staff and hire people who are either bullies or meek; the ones who realizes this, leaves. Managers make things up to write-up staff. It's hard to stay at this company. CEO threatens to fire all of the staff and start over. The compensation in this company is not competitive. It's the lowest in the market as they can possibly get away with.

Satisfied; I was with RehabCare when it merged with Kindred

Pros

National company; as I mentioned previously, I was working with RehabCare when the merger with Kindred went through, which only consolidated its market share by expanding it in acute care as well as LTC setting.

Cons

The only reason I left after almost 6 years was, in my opinion, my immediate superior and her supervisor were losing the main focus of patient care and it was becoming all about the "numbers" and profit all the time. Being in management since 1999, I thought I knew (and, I was running the book of business well) the drill, however, it wasn't "enough' for these two. Hence, I parted ways.
