Decent pay, but toxic culture and retaliation issues

Pros

Decent pay, better than most other retailers in my area. The crew you work along-side with are good people. That being said the management is abhorrent and very idle.

Cons

It is a literal highschool clique. If management doesnt like you, they will do anything to make you leave via retaliation. Not only that they will play the Union card and rope you into working extra hours, so you quite literally cannot do anything else in your life. You have to eat, breathe. And sleep Kroger. This is not a "foot in the door" job. It is for someone with no desire for a career.

Drama Customers that yell at you Management doesn’t listen Everyone in the store is sketchy and probably sleeping together They care more about the job than any emergencies that may come up in an employees life “Feed the community” is just a slogan to make them look good, they don’t actually mean that they want to help anyone
