-No work life balance. This might be okay for the lawyers, but if I'm working the same 200+ hours/month and getting paid below market average even with the OT, is it worth it? Be prepared for late nights (8 or 9pm is not unusual) and weekends with little to no advanced notice. Can't take the work home usually like the lawyers do either. -HR and management don't really care about the staff once they're in the door. Complaints are made, shoulders are shrugged. Abusive managers are kept on and lawyers are kept in the dark about the working conditions/ pay/hours of their staff. HR is more interested in handing out apples and health fliers than actually discussing real issues. - You get a lot of vacation time - enjoy cashing it in as you'll barely get to use it because something always comes up. -No advancement - you hit a glass ceiling pretty quickly in terms of responsibilities so there's not much to strive for. You may get more interesting tasks depending on your supervisor/practice group, but it's more of the same usually whether you're there 2 years or 10 years. Despite this, cattiness and competitiveness is rampant among staff even though what you're competing for is just scraps on a bone. -The secretaries for the most part do very little, work strict standard hours, and are generally of no help despite complaints. Paralegals are left to do a lot of the admin work instead. -Atlanta is HQ - and this is very apparent to anyone who is not working at HQ. Seems like the majority of the positive reviews come from there which is no surprise.

Leadership bottlenecked and long-term growth is minimal. There’s no inclusiveness, transparency or buy-in from upper leadership - just “do-as-I-day-because-I-said-so.” It’s a very sneaky environment, masked by the disguise of “confidentiality.”
