Friendly, collegial atmosphere; 4-8:1 ratios with team support configurations provide for flexibility of scheduling; great communication between lawyers and staff; lack of class distinction enables staff inclusion of team functions. Very good benefits.

Cons

As in any office, working with people unwilling to see the best in a situation and who are lacking in work ethic and communication skills.

Worked at the Discovery Center as a project attorney for a number of years along side with some bright and good natured people.

Cons

Long hours and can be treated badly depending on what team you're on. Expected to work Associate level hours for 1/3 the pay. No secret that some managers have preferences and will play favorites.

Pros

Very professional, but friendly and positive work environment with good people. Have had positive experiences with management, with people going above and beyond to work out issues and answer questions. Reasonable policies and compensation.

Cons

There are very high expectations for quality of work product and availability, which can be stressful and lead to a lopsided work/life balance. However, this is the norm for similar positions, and compensation is commensurate.
