Pros
Collaborative environment. Ability to wear many hats. Passionate co-workers who are genuinely altruistic and care about the mission. This is a very unique environment.
Cons
Interns are not really compensated for the hard work they do. Granted, you come into it knowing that you won't get paid, but there are other forms of compensation like trainings for technical skills, etc. Also, not all managers are focused on the development of their interns.
