Pros

Co-workers are optimistic, enthusiastic, altruistic and talented, and there's at least chance you could make the world a better place.

Cons

It could be said that at Kiva there is a slight tendency towards (<-filler words) complacency and lack of boldness.

Pros

Great company and draws in talented people. Flexible with hours/appointments as long as you get your work done. Great mission and that's what drives most people.

Cons

There is a heavy reliance on interns so every 4-5 months, there will be new training that is distracting as well as another 30 interns that are getting to know the company. Interns are also unpaid.

Pros

Singular mission - this is a group of people who believe that they can make a positive change in the world. Great benefits (free trip almost anywhere in the world every two years, good family medical/dental benefits, 401k match, etc). Supportive and collaborative environment

Cons

Many of the usual sacrifices associated with working for a nonprofit organization apply here (salary, resource constraints, etc) even though it feels like a tech startup.
