      Thanks so much for flagging this issue. I personally have been striving to strip away culture fit from Kivans vernacular. We are promoting Diversity, equity, inclusion & belonging and we always want to use inclusive language. It is upsetting that you feel as though there are racial prejudices. I will bring this up to our leadership team to address. I appreciate your openness and transparency.

      Pros

      - People are talented, kind and dedicated - Kiva is truly mission focused, measuring impact first and revenue/business metrics second - Kiva is a great marriage of fintech and nonprofit, truly moving toward operating as a strong, product-led tech company with an iterative, test-and-learn mindset - Kiva has a strong strategy and foundation and is well positioned to increase its already outsized impact on the world

      Cons

      - Transformation to a strong tech company is still ongoing, so folks who join need to be prepared to hep drive cultural change. (For the right person, this isn't a downside!) - Kiva is very complex for its size, and simplifying (its tech, its metrics, everything) is both critical to its success and is an ongoing challenge - Pay is understandably lower than tech peers, as Kiva is a nonprofit and needs to be fiscally responsible with donor funds.
