Pros

The people were upbeat, seemingly easy to get along with. Lots of big perks. I was looking forward to growing with them as a team member.

Cons

I didn't get to experience the role. After a personality test, an aptitude test, multiple video interviews and phone interviews, background check, etc - they were super excited to hire me. First day, working at home and I was on screen with our new hire team for a total of 4 hours before I was asked to join another Zoom - and then promptly "let go" because I was "not a good fit"? It made absolutely no sense at all what transpired and they wouldn't answer my questions as to how they came to that determination. It was abrupt and final.

Hello, your situation is very uncommon and isolated, as only .63% of employees have been let go during the onboarding process within the past year. There are only a few reasons that have warranted letting someone go during onboarding. When that is the case, our Employee Relations team works to provide a smooth exit for the employee while collecting as much information as possible on the employee’s experience at KnowBe4, so we can continue to improve our organization for everyone. It looks like we weren’t the best fit for you, and we wish you the very best on all your future endeavors.

Pros

The people, generous PTO, bonuses, culture, overall mission

Cons

Odd, nonsensical “because I said so” decisions of who has to be remote versus come back into the office

Hi :-) I appreciate you taking the time to leave your feedback. The exec team and I do our level best to strike the right balance between fully remote and hybrid work. Just like many other top tech companies, many of our teams use a hybrid work model. This provides remote work for a large portion of the week while also allowing time to meet in person, which is hugely important for collaboration and innovation. Things are constantly changing, so we are always adapting our remote work policies. Your feedback helps us to do that in the best way possible. Thanks very much ! Stu

Pros

Lots of opportunity for personal and professional growth, unlimited PTO, fun coworkers and managers, very unique parties/experiences. If you hate remote work, the in-office environment is very energetic and welcomes people with open arms.

Cons

As another review stated, the "Company-Wide Monthly Bonuses" are incorporated into your base pay but the range of cash you get can fluctuate wildly. It also serves as an excuse to underpay for the area. The biggest con is the company forcing a return to office. Certain departments are getting full remote while others are not allowed, which feels really cheap. When the company culture can't be upheld over remote, it may be weaker than it really seems.

Hello. We are striving to strike the right balance between remote work and office work. While we understand the appeal of remote work, we also see the collaborative power of office work. As the state of the world continues to change, we will surely be adapting our remote work policies and your feedback helps us to do that in the best way possible. We will be sure to keep you, and all Knowsters, informed if there are any future changes in our policies. It is also important to note that our monthly bonus game is separate from base pay. All employees at KnowBe4 have a competitive base pay, which is adjusted yearly based on inflation. Though, we certainly tell candidates to consider our bonus program when considering employment at KnowBe4, as our bonuses are quite large. Through our monthly bonus plan, every employee (subsequent to the first 90 days of employment) can earn between $0 and $2,000 per month based on sales. We started this in 2015. Since then, the lowest it has been is $7,500 per person in a year and the highest it has been is $17,800 per person in a year. This is definitely a factor to take into account when evaluating total compensation packages.
