Pros

Few and far between. I met some nice people while I was there.

Cons

Where to start… Work from home? 1 day/ week for a job that could be done 100% virtually. I heard they were moving to 2 days a week soon, but very rigid on when you can take it when they want people in the office. 8-5 with limited flexibility. They do offer “flex time” where you can take two hours/week and make them up by staying a little later or working through lunch. Equipment to work from home? Good luck. They let me take my headset, charger and mouse home, everything else was figure it out on your own and not provided. Fox News in the break room? Yep. Get used to it. Super conservative owners who host events for republican politicians. Strongly encouraged employees to go down to listen to them speak to help fill the room. Benefits: not great. Compensation: way below market, competitors are paying 10-15k more starting salary while also being fully remote Turnover: ask them, I saw so many people leave while I was there within my department. Probably 10-12 in our 30 person team over the course of 6 months. Maternity and paternity leave? Nope, you can work there while you are breastfeeding for 50% pay which seems ludicrous. Nepotism-lots of family, cousins, friends that get jobs there because they know someone. People get treated differently based on their last name/who they know. Covid -19: during the height of the pandemic when we were called back into the office you could have someone test positive right next to you and then they would be gone for two weeks and the company wouldn’t event tell those employees that interacted or were sitting close to them that they were exposed. Also putting those immuno- compromised and pregnant at higher risk. Leadership: they cite studies like IBM becoming irrelevant when they stopped meeting in the office as well as you won’t get promoted because you don’t have FaceTime. They never look at the other side or arguments and how the pandemic has proven people can work from anywhere and still get a job done. Micromanagement- most days and little transparency on things going on in your dept No eating at your desk- you can’t eat lunch at your desk and it’s frowned upon when snacks are discovered- feels like elementary school. If you’ve gotten this far and are still going to pursue this company, you must be a family member.
