Pros

I had a great time at koala working on lots of projects I never thought would have been in my wheelhouse. The people were wonderful and it was a really fun culture.

Cons

The “scale—up” culture is exhausting. They are constantly raising funds from investors and when that doesn’t come through they make senior staff redundant and promote juniors to fill their roles. This makes the company look great on paper for the next round of fundraising.

- Get to work with smart and driven individuals - Ambitious in its change pipeline, provides plenty of learning opportunities - Engaging company activities that actually get people away from their desk to socialise

Cons

- Burnout culture, welcome to 70hr weeks with no recognition where "you" are the problem for having to work longer hours - Excessive staff turnover - Questionable senior management decisions
