Pros

The perks were great. Got to visit many different places I wouldn't have been able to with most companies.

Cons

Excessive traveling was a bit of a challenge

Thank you for the feedback about your time with Kodak Alaris. Travel is definitely has two sides -- great to see so many places, but it takes us away from family and friends. We'll certainly continue listening to employees -- as you know, transparency is big here along with regular surveys and live meetings as feedback opportunities. -Brennan (Head of Internal Communication)

Pros

This is a privately held, growth technology company. We have a great plan laid out to be successful for years to come. If you are up for a challenge, looking to grow in a company and like the Rochester seasons, this is the company for you to think about coming to. The people who work here are very committed to their work and being successful. I personally love the products our company supports (unleashing the power of images and information through technology).

Cons

The workload right now is crazy while we are in growth mode. We need new skill sets to meet the growth plans. Software engineering, development, IT, business development managers are all needed to help us move from a hardware business to a software & solutions company. Our new owner is UK based so getting to know the expectations of them and the Board has been challenging.

Pros

While the expectations are challenging, it is quite exciting to be a part of a company that has a strong legacy from which to build a new company. I have great confidence in my direct executive level manager and look forward to the future when the resources we will have available to us will allow us to meet and exceed the expectations of our employees, customers, and partners. I feel empowered to do my job. I know I have earned the confidence of my manager. I take that with me to my own staff. Having said that, I work in a virtual office and away from the corporate location. I respect the new vision of the company and expect the company to invest in the resources that will be required to support the execution of our plans.

Cons

Internal technology resources are very outdated and difficult to use. This means every aspect of our work takes a lot of extra time and often has to be done several times to be more accurate. I can't wait to see how the investment in IT gives us stronger intranet tools so that we can more easily collaborate and learn. If we are to attract and retain new and fresh thinking, we must enable our people with tools that foster creativity. This company could also do a much better job with salary increases. With greater responsibility we offer very little opportunity to increase salary.

We appreciate your comments and your opinion. At Kodak Alaris we work hard to grow and develop our employees. We in 2018 we moved into our new home at Rochester Technology Park and now have an open-concept office space with numerous employee benefits like free coffee, gym space, and a micro-market for food and beverages. We will continue to develop our employees and business objectives in 2020.
