Kohls is a good place to work. I had great management, and I met many cool people.

Pros

It is a very easy job, and the time went by pretty fast. There are also employee weekends every 3 months where you can combine coupons to get around 40-45 percent off.

Cons

The management cares heavily on how many credit cards you get signed up. This is difficult for some, but as long as you show people the discount they will receive its not too hard.

Great Minimum Wage Job for a Student

Pros

Decent benefits package if you stay on long enough. "Yes We Can" initiative gives surprising amount of independent judgement to POS associates when dealing with customers. Bonuses (albeit small) provided for credit card applications. Management was pleasant and reasonable.

Cons

Aggressive credit card application quotas. Customers will take take advantage of POS Associates ability to determine discounts. Certain times of the retail year (back-to-school, Christmas) can be unbearable!

Sometimes boring Hard to advance Raises don't come often, and when they do its not very much. Push on credits too hard.
