Pros
Co-workers are great. There are some folks who have worked here a long time and love it (more I think they enjoy the friends they work with), these are usually the better paying surpervisory positions. At the associate level, turn over is very high, we are constantly training new people.
Cons
Training is poor. Most of the turn occurs because people do not know what to do and are not treated well. Those who stick around 6-12 months and finally figure things out, then people stick. In the meantime, pay is low, demands are high and customers can be difficult, so most do not stay. Also, once you are proficient in an area you are stuck there, they promise cross-training and promotion but this can take years( there are people in my store who have done the same job for 5+ years), this is monotonous and stressful work.
