Okay, Beauty needs work

Pros

Wonderful coworkers, flexible hours, great stackable discount, commission, gratis

Cons

Beauty is not that big at Kohls. Very little advertisement makes it unknown. Customers and even my own coworkers don't know beauty here exists! Management is always pulling us out of the department which leaves Beauty regularly neglected.

Pros

associates are nice for the most part.

Cons

worked there a few years, top performer but they will not pay you accordingly. They say they have a no retaliation policy....that's a load of crap. they do not train store associate adequately, cut hours down to part time and say they can't afford to schedule 40 hour but got $64 million from Scott walker to create job but they actually cut jobs. and watch your back if you are approved for FMLA through their neutral third party Sedgewick! they index work for kohls and are not on your side. they will lie and even document the lie in their notes as truth when in fact it is not. all management pretty much at kohls are friends so if you have a problem, don't think anything will be confidential! I can go on and on! This company is very corrupt but the little people at kohls are too scare to stand up for themselves due to fear of losing their jobs. we just want to take care of our families with no struggle! after all its the wonderful employee who help make kohls rich and that keep the customers coming back.

Store Manager

Pros

When you think of Kohls, you should think of People. Kohls number one priority is its workforce, and I loved promoting that culture in my store. Kohls is HUGE in internal promoting, developing talent, and recognizing excellence. Secondly, the company is very customer centric, and executes a 'yes you can' policy to be able to help customers overcome obstacles and issues. As far as peer outreach, Kohls Northern California has THEE best managers when it comes to helping each other. There were times where I did not have an answer or needed help with a situation, and ALL my peers where near their phone to help. Such an amazing, hard working group of individuals, dedicated to their teams and their customers.

Cons

Kohls technology has grown EXPONENTIALLY these past few years (and is even ground breaking in some respects), but there are still some bugs being worked out with the technological processes. Although there are areas of opportunities, Kohls has one of THEE best retail management teams that overcome problems on a daily basis to take care of their customers.
