Pros

Awesome scheduling time AS LONG AS you give your supervisor a three weeks notice. They are very flexible if you are taking time off for school or doing community events. Every week there was a pot luck or themed lunch for all of the employees, and during black Friday there was free lunch given to all employees. So, it was a nice experience even though it was during their busiest time. Also, if you want hours, yes, you can do it! I've requested it and it worked well because another employee had a family emergency so I took a few of their hours. Overall, customers were very nice to me, only a few occasions where I dealt with difficult customers, however that was a rare occurrence. Kohl's is a great company to work for and all employees were very pleasant people and to make connections with. For those looking for employment, I'd say give it a shot!

Cons

Managers may breathe down your back if you aren't getting enough credit card offers, especially during the holiday time. . Also, you need to keep track of how many credit accounts you try to open. Many times I had to correct the managers tallies because the numbers were incorrect. During my training as an employee, I had to train other employees even though I was new to the system. I enjoyed helping, but I knew clear that management wasn't doing their job properly.

Pros

If you put in effort you can make a little extra cash by convincing customers to sign up for the kohl's card. Its easy for employees and beneficial for the customers because they get discounts. Employee discount is also a plus. Its a good environment most at most places. Managers strive on motivation and there are plenty of volunteering opportunities of your choice if you are interested in that as well.

Cons

Holiday season gets crazy and you work longer nights if you end up closing the store. Expect what you would in most department stores.
