      Pros

      For young staff it's a good learning experience.

      Cons

      They depended on one person to take care of one department at the end of the day, it's a joke nothing is completed in the amount of time they give you.

      High standards but impossible with skeleton crew

      Pros

      management is very friendly and acknowledges good work. POS registers and kiosks all easy to operate. Use of radio walkies makes for very efficient team work constantly addressing anything that needs taking care of. Associates are very friendly for the most part (there's always a couple...) Popular merchandise. Most shoppers have a Kohl's card and they like the use of combined coupons. Associates are empowered by management to take care of customer so customer usually doesn't need to wait for something to be resolved.

      Cons

      Female shoppers trash dressing rooms and floor is rarely staffed to keep up with demand. Talk of cutting payroll gets tiresome for good employees trying to keep up which becomes impossible. Pay is terrible for hourly employees. Have worked two other retailers and been paid higher. Why still here--I guess because it's a fun team to work with and that counts for something.

      Pros

      Kohl's provides its employees with a great working environment. People get a chance to polish their customer service skills. It is a great opportunity for someone to work and save money. They are extremely flexible with their employee's scheduling. I found them to be really good about working around my school schedule. It is a great first job for someone who has just entered the job market.

      Cons

      Working here might make a person dependent on this job, and prevent them from aspiring for better employers. The benefits provided by Kohl's may not be as competitive as other places.
