      Kohls is a great place to work overall

      Pros

      Young culture, empowered employees, tons of growth, always making positive changes for employees, Kevin Mansell really believes people are #1 asset!

      Cons

      Not great work-life balance in Planning but has gotten better, few internal promotions to senior Mgmt, awful inter- and intra-department communication, need more staff in the buying office.

      Pros

      Kohl's is a fast growing company who puts ideas out left and right. They have great concepts but at times they can not be carried through with due to lack of "materials." Loss Prevention is often limited in what they can do and it can sometimes be challenging to partner who those you need to partner with. Building teams and partnerships is the only way you will make your job successful. If you want to move up in the company you will need to go store side because there aren't too many LP positions available once you go past LP Supervisor.

      Cons

      The lack of opportunity for growth is the biggest neg. LP doesn't have a lot of options and store side isn't for everyone.

      Pros

      Great management with excellent communication. Awesome atmosphere to work in. Such a successful business, if you work hard and go above and beyond you will be recognized. Great benefits from health, dental, retirement options, to ways to get laptops and big screen tvs (and other electronics) given to you and a small ammount deducted from your weekly paycheck. Great place to work for me.

      Cons

      Alot of the employees there don't feel the same way... Some seem aggrivated with management. Not alot of training, they just throw you in there (me anyways) But that's the way I like to learn. I don't learn good doing a bunch of computer courses. But there is an easy way to get an answer if you don't know what to do... Ask- and management is always there to help you out.
