Pros

15% Employee discount Good benefits are available if you work full time Coworkers are mostly decent, honest people who just want to work hard Mostly flexible with scheduling

Cons

You will be constantly pushed to sell Kohl's charge cards to people Management sets an unrealistically high number of credit applications that employees are supposed to achieve (however you won't get fired for not achieving it) Upper management cares very little about associate complaints Low pay for amount of work required of you Sales floor often has too few employees on it, customers complain that it is hard to find help If you close, you are sometimes required to stay until 2 a.m. or later Angry and irrational customers

Pros

The compensation program was great in the beginning; however, soon after they say the stock options are great, but unforatunately, the stock is tanking due to upper management.

Cons

Advancement. Unless you were from the midwest or Target, you had no shot for promotion opportunities. The best one was when I was passed over as "not enough" experience, yet they hired someone 10 years younger with a Target backgound as an STL for 2 years and asked me to train them as a DMIT.
