Pros

Always something new, gain a lot of leadership skills. Able to advance ones self quickly while working at kohl's.

Cons

The apparel side of the store is not what it can be other than that is is ok. Needs to be better organized on the store level. Pay is not the best but does if you are single or married with no kids. kohls as a company is fair until you get to the store level that is when it gets a little crazy depending on your store managers a assistant managers .

Pros

I've only been there a short time, but the overall treatment of their employees is what impresses me the most. I have been working for retail companies for over 10 years and I have never experienced the level of respect, understanding and caring that I have experienced while working for Kohl's. I never feel lower than anyone and when working with those in positions above me, I always feel that they are trying to develop me and help me to grow within the company. I have never had a situation where I felt that I was misled or given just enough information to get my job done. I've always found that I was provided with all the information necessary and in most cases, additional information, so that I could be as informed as possible in performing my job.

Cons

For me, the only downsides of working at Kohl's is the commute that I have and the lack of parking on some days. The commute is something that is completely within my control. As for the parking, it is understandable due to the amount of growth that we have at the Corporate office, but I really hope that there is a solution in the works that can help to solve it.

Pros

It is easy to get days off.

Cons

Age discrimination. All the preferred jobs and hours are given to the "young" people. Hours are very unpredictable. No matter how hard you work, you will never be acknowledged unless you are under the age of 30. Inappropriate language and subjects are permitted, when reported to management, you are then retaliated against. Very unprofessional environment.
