Not much in the way of payroll at most stores anymore, and associates are expected to do the most while being given the bare minimum in the way of support since most managers are usually too busy running every other aspect of the store. The company also seems actively trying to push out older associates who have worked with the company forever in favor of hiring new associates they can pay a lot less and give less hours to.

Management doesn’t care about morale of employees. They often try to scare or threaten employees with firing them if they don’t hit certain goals but don’t take into account several factors contributing to the data. Managers will talk about other employees in front you which makes for a toxic workplace environment. Also, they pick and choose who has to follow the rules and who doesn’t.
