Pros

Big Company Quality products Good reputation International Presence Diversity of products The company values quality and has passion for perfectness

Cons

Very Pragmatic company, management is conservative and old fashioned, processes come before creativity, they lose very good talent because there is no appreciation for inovation. Inovation is always lost between approvals, management layers and details.

Pros

The company is one of the most ethical I have ever worked for - doing what is right is the accepted way to improve the bottom line. Quality of product and service is paramount and is done by demanding a culture of respect and good work. The company is highly financially stable and since it is privately owned by a very, very smart man, it uses its financial secrecy as a strategic advantage. Pay scales within the company are transparent and based on solid metrics. The review process works to make sure that your goals are aligned with the goals of the management team and that what you are being rated on doesn't change. This is one of the few companies remaining where you can make a career at staying there.

Cons

The pay is low and the atmosphere at corporate is highly conservative, as is the culture of the area. People of color, LGBT, or anyone who doesn't play golf and drink beer will face some cultural disconnects. There are no female upper managers who are not related to the owner. The upper management is a sea of white faces. This limits the outlook and perspective of the management team. An eternal career at Kohler is possible... if you don't want to do anything differently or grow quickly. Because the same person has done the same job forever, job duties are not defined well by role, and documentation is non existent. Technology use is rare. Everything is done on paper, by hand.

Pros

Good people, good benefits, nice town, clear procedure & process, global company with opportunity to work with different culture, good reputation in industry, very family friendly.

Cons

Location is not very good, far from big city, very few young people, too conservative, too slow to make decision, not good for creative thinking, have to be kohlerized to get promotion.
