Thank you for sharing your feedback! We are proud of our family-oriented work environment and are happy to hear it is a good fit for you. While longer hours may be expected during the busy seasons of public accounting, we encourage our team members to find a healthy balance through a variety of programs. We understand that finding the right balance is highly personal, which is why we offer summer/winter Fridays – closing the office at 3pm during our off season and generous paid time off. As you know, during 2020, we faced unprecedented changes as a result of the pandemic, and like many businesses, suffered some inefficiencies along the way. We work really hard to ensure that staffing levels that will meet client needs, and pride ourselves on offering variety of work and a good quality of life.

Pros

Learned what kind of leader NOT to be

Cons

Honestly the only good thing I can say is that I met a few lifelong friends there. Everything else attributed to one of the worst employment experiences of my life. Management is a hot mess operating under the “everything is fine, this is a lovely place to work” facade that recruiting and marketing continue to create for them. Staff is treated worse than larger firms unless you win the favorites lottery. Harassment and poor treatment by managers is basically encouraged by HR and somehow it will be your fault. Raises and bonuses, if they can even afford them, are puny. The benefits are not worth the hours and mental abuse. If you can put up with those things, you might as well go to a larger firm and get something that looks decent on your resume.

We are always sorry to hear that any team member has had anything other than a great experience. We encourage open, honest communication with any of our leaders, and try to drive home a culture where leaders know they are accountable to all of our team members. As a Top Workplace, an award that is administered by a third party and based solely upon a comprehensive survey of all of our employees, we invest a great deal in creating an environment where all of our team members feel they have the tools, support, and flexibility to thrive and grow – personally and professionally. We are also proud that, during the height of the pandemic, our partners volunteered to take pay cuts just to make sure we could avoid the risk that the pandemic could have an impact on employment or compensation for any of our team members. As a result of those actions, we were able to pay our staff bonuses throughout the pandemic, as well as raises at the end of the year. We would welcome a chance to speak with you about the specific difficulties you felt you had and invite you to reach out directly to our managing director.

Some ok people. Company events.

Cons

Uneven workload, Low raises, Management very micromanaging and sometimes disrespectful, some employees clearly favored over others. Company can be very cheap.
