Pros

Most of the NPs, dietitians, and pcts you work with directly are amazing people. I was lucky in having many fantastic people both in my clinic and our sister clinics who were understanding, helpful, and very friendly. Sometimes patient's are very nice and will make your day Schedule can be pretty nice for some people A new found camaraderie with many people around the country after seeing these reviews and realizing it wasn't just one city.

Cons

Worst corporate management I've ever seen. Communication is rare, usually condescending, and you'll hear 14 different things from different people. Despite the whole "patient first promise" thing they try to impart on you, it is at all times incredibly clear that the company is desperately trying to bring in more money. This translates to them putting unreasonable demands on the actual workers. A clinic could be busy for an entire day with a typical 45 minute wait and you will still get told that you aren't seeing enough people, or that you have to add more paperwork and charting on top of your laughable 15 minute appointment time, or should be doing a better job marketing. an example of this is that recently, techs were told they will also be doing manual vital signs as well as recording patient history, followed by a month later being told they need to be trained to do strep tests and other things they were never trained for. These things were never in the original job description and on top of this at the same time they lowered the base rate of pay to $11.50 an hour. They expect 2 workers to be able to do far more than is possible, it's just not a practical way to run a clinic. On top of that you will be screamed at, quite a lot, especially if you're the tech. You will have patients who are just rude or who are angry at you for not covering their insurance every day. Then, very often people will come by and be mad at you when their insurance didn't cover something. Usually it's because it's a deductible plan or something but you're the first to get treated poorly. You're still working in a grocery store at the end of the day and people will treat you that way, which really sucks. On top of that you have to listen to the constant and inescapable in store music and ads. They will get drilled into your skull and never leave. It's just a really bad environment overall and can break you down quickly. Turn over for is incredibly high, with few lasting more than a couple months.

Pros

Loved working with the Nurse Practitioners.

Cons

As we all know customer service is what it is and we know that customers are always right. RIGHT? Customers we call "Patients" can and WILL complain if they do not get their way PERIOD enough said; there are way to many examples. Mgmt will make a random appearance at your clinic and interrogate YOU with what the patient complaint states and then look at you as if you are lying with attempts to tell the truth! Its crazy! It is not right! it is unprofessional of mgmt in not trusting and backing their employees. With that said is just one of the many reasons the turn over is enormous in the Louisville regions and I would bet in other regions as well. And now to mention the marketing!! The many computer issues daily and the fact you need to be 3 people at all given times! Or you may get a complaint! Yes its true. Oh and the cleaning alongside ALL that is placed on PCT daily with very low pay scale; is patronizing! Apparently mgmt has not put there feet in our shoes. $12 is NOT a rewarding pay-scale. Oh my goodness I am having a panic attack rehashing.... I should stop. BEWARE! #DONE

Pros

Was looking forward to the opportunity in the interview from what I was told.

Cons

From day 1 of orientation was clear there was not good communication or good organization. Seemed what I was told from beginning on hours and schedule and responsibilities changed alot. Expected to market your own store and take responsibility for its success even if your a pct?! What's expected was out of comfort level. Walk the store and hand out flyers etc 3-4 daily on top of take care of clinic and make hourly announcements? Check on signage daily too. Seems like overkill. Not enough emphasis on patient care. More emphasis on marketing and getting more people with no expectations of extra staff. Just not good feeling.
