Pros

No pros whatsoever to speak of.

Cons

"We care about our associates" is just corporate feel good lies. This company sees everyone, and I mean EVERYONE as an expendable resource to be used and then easily replaced when they ultimately decide they have had enough.

Pros

A few team members were really nice and supportive. They made things a bit easier.

Cons

One of the worst-managed companies I’ve worked for. Some managers are rude and unprofessional. The training is very poor. You're barely shown how to do things, and then expected to perform at full speed after just one or two days.

Pros

Very comprehensive GMT training program for Buyers and Planners. There are seasons with lots mobility and direct exposure with management.

Cons

There continues to be consolidation of offices responsible for categories and not enough investment in innovation/automation of workflows, systems and software. Projects are heavily meeting/email driven and processes are very manual. The increasing workloads and constraints of the available systems result in a lot of hours put in by salary employees including but not limited to the assistants. Also there is almost no chance of an outside hire coming in to run a buying or planning desk unless they have gone through the GMT training due to the elaborate/manual nature of the work required. Otherwise it could be a very great place to work if you don't get buried. Since i quit there have been layoffs and i feel like the ones who "made the cut" won the prize of 60+ hr work weeks and no severance.
