Pros

Hoping this review will help prospective job seekers make an educated decision about their career and future. Before reading the pros and cons, at any time if you think any of this is untrue feel free to contact anyone there to get their thoughts that is not in management.
- Good healthcare
- Job security
- Some great and talented individuals at TEA
- Great place to exist and collect a weekly paycheck without real responsibility
- If you aren't capable of doing your work, it is just pawned off on others
- Time based promotions (great if you are lazy and don't want to do your work)

Cons

It is impossible to list them all, but the main things that someone should be looking for in a workplace is a good engaging environment, good culture, and good leadership:
- As an engineer, designs and overall direction should be driven by quantitative and empirical evidence. Decisions throughout the years seem to be driven by seniority and opinion.
- Management expertise is half-baked while talent management is pretty much non-existent. People are not rewarded / promoted for their hard work ultimately leave the company as they become unmotivated and disappointed.
- Leadership will try to make you believe the turnover rate is normal. Leadership lacks social skills, cannot be trusted, and leads with no direction.
- Constant change with no clear strategy which causes confusion, frustration and ultimately turnover.
- Promotions are time based (which means you can do no work, and receive the same promotion as someone working very hard).
- Workplace morale has reached an all time low, hard workers no longer want to work hard because there are zero incentives / rewards.
- There are zero contingency plans for when people leave, so workload just keeps snowballing and split between the people who remain.
- Japanese management keep a secret spreadsheet of employees arrival times and hold it against you during reviews. Some managers love to micromanage, why hire someone if you have to keep looking over their shoulder?
- Horrendous bathroom conditions... always full; lets just say it is on par with some truck stops.
- Zero team building, zero culture, just feels like a dead end until you find something else.

Management lacks leadership.

Pros

Good benefits: 401k, healthcare, dental, will pay you back for education supporting your role and the business, and 75% of health club membership. Regular work week is 35 hours for non-exempt. The previous review about no lay-offs is true.

Cons

Very disappointed in lack of leadership, knowledge, and experience in operations. If your passion is operations, do not expect any advancement or support. Management lacks leadership, especially the areas of accountability and communications. They lack operations experience and knowledge also. Please also see all previous cons from other reviews - they are true, unfortunately.

Pros

Benefit employee cost is good for area, plenty of hours

Cons

MANDATORY weekend work most times, detached attitude from management. Not a terrible place, but u better know what youre getting into. I was hired permanent in a little over a month, but i wouldnt go back if i could find a different way. If you enjoy mexican culture, this is the place you want to be. Staffing agency sucks, hire on direct with kubota if u really wanna work for them.
