Cons

High deductible on health plan, can't have spouse on plan if they are eligible for other insurance

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! As you noted, Kurt offers a high deductible health plan with a Health Savings Account. Kurt matches employee health savings account deferrals up to $500 each year. In addition to our health plan, Kurt offers dental, vision and many other lifestyle benefits for employees to select, based on their individual or family needs. We are proud of our status as an employee owned company. And although we have over 500 employees across the various divisions, it still feels like family at Kurt!

Kurt Mfg Co Main St division performs many complex sequences to a wide variety of product line. Employees work in a fast paced, safe environment using cutting edge machine tool technology. Kurt is an ESOP, which gives the employees all an equal responsibility to provide our customers with quality they expect.

Cons

"Old school" culture that is at times difficult to change.

Pros

People at Kurt are like family. Management treats you like a person, not a number. Great place to grow your career, Kurt always strives to promote from within. Educational benefits pays for school while you advance. Very challenging work. ESOP so now all employees have a stake in business.

Cons

Kurt is a contract machining company. Work load is ever changing. Overtime one week and 40 hours the next.
