Pros

Struggling to think of one

Cons

Opened a new location in a western market and had no idea what they were doing. Completely disorganized. Just came in and expected everyone to shop there because you know, LLBean. I put a year and a half into it thinking they would figure stuff out and just got worse. Three district managers in 18 months. Three store managers. They were always getting fired and then we were expected to pick up the slack. Then then would ask why we weren’t doing our job. Treated the part time employees like trash that we’re lucky to come in for four hours then get cut an hour later because there was no business. I’ve worked in outdoor retail for over 20 years and this was by far the most surreal experience I have ever had. Apply to REI, you’ll be much better off. This company exists merely on legacy.

Pros

My peers, the employees and the great benefits the company offers. The dedication that employees have and the relentless desire to make the business work during the companies most challenging time in history!

Cons

Upper managements frustrating decisions and their complete lack of ownership of the issues that they've caused for frontline employees! Also, the lack of engagement from upper management. They are out of touch with what happens on the floor. Things might look good on paper but are completely impossible to achieve in real life!

Pros

Hard to be positivie about a company that spent my complete time history with them reducing benefits and inhibiting advancements. At least the employee discount still exists, though at a constant reduction of rates.

Cons

Focus on supporting your employees not micromanaging them down.
