Pros

L3 is just as average as many other companies other there. At the end of the day they treat us reasonably. The flexible scheduling in Salt Lake City was nicer than it used to be. Still, you have the option of a 4/10 or 9/80 work week. If your management approves it, on occasion, you can do a flex week which means you have to get 80 hours in a two week period. When I am done for the day, I am done. I don't worry about tomorrow. Tuition assistance is nice, but becoming harder to utilize the full $10k.

Cons

Health insurance was better. Once L3 merged with Harris, Bill Brown (CEO) gutted our insurance with a more expensive program that covers less. We've switched to an "Discretionary Vacation" policy that makes it more difficult to use. If you have last minute plans to take some time off, forget it. You have to really plan out when you're going to take time off. Remote opportunities are inconsistent based on management. Some teams are better than others and will treat you like an adult. Unless there is a pandemic, good luck trying to get the opportunity to work from home. Any professional development is done on your own time.

Thanks so much for your review. We use a pay-for-performance system that we believe encourages our employees to drive their careers. If you're feeling like you are not challenged enough, we encourage you to speak with your manager or HR business partner to identify potential developmental opportunities for you.

Pros

It is a stable place to work with plenty to do depending on the contract you happen to be working. The benefits are good. Very generous time-off especially for the new hires.

Cons

It is a large company so things tend to move slowly. They are definitely focused on the contract success and not so much on the employees.
