      Pros

      Stable employment and a competitive benefits package. Higher base pay than most manufacturers in the area. Relaxed work environment ideal for end-of-career working in manufacturing.

      Cons

      Poor internal motivation and promotion practices. A lack of internal talent development leads to a cycle of self-promotion through job hopping. Silo-ing of departments and shifts leads to inter-shift/department miscommunication.

      Pros

      Supports our warfighters and customers, especially the military Flexible schedules (9/80), lots of PTO/vacation, good work-life balance Decent insurance and 6% 401k match

      Cons

      Company absolutely DOES NOT promote top talent, therefore after 5-10 years, our new hires (especially in Engineering) are making not far off what mid-level engineers make. Engineers cannot get promoted so they seek other opportunities and leave for better paying jobs at our competitors. Furthermore, the company only promotes during the merit-cycle (once per year) and it takes away from the group's merits. So if a manager promotes within the group, others receive a lower annual merit/raise. The system is broken and employees are not valued and invested in.

      Pros

      If you're sadistic, you hate your life, and you want to get some decent experience out of it, then this job is for you.

      Cons

      The work environment L3Harris has to offer is perhaps the most hostile work environment I have ever seen. People get gaslit and bullied all the time, and the union will do absolutely nothing about it, even though stuff like that is what they are made for. Stay as far away from L3 as humanly possible.
