      Pros

      There is a great opportunity to help people. The agency has a long history of servicing the community and many of the employees are committed to helping children and families.

      Cons

      The pay is horrible for most except the executives at the top. Employees with decades of experience and dedication making not much more than their starting salaries. The building conditions are disgraceful. True leadership and vision nonexistent. If not for IL state contracts... LCFS would be a a thing of the past.

      Staff are very friendly making it easy doing my job.

      Pros

      PTO started as soon as you became employed. Co-workers were great. Certain clients who never ran off the unit and always listened. Overtime was always offered

      Cons

      I knew during the first week of training that this was not a good place to work. Training was not good at all in my opinion. Administration does not know how to run things at all. I worked on the worst unit ever!!!! Clients ran off the unit everyday and attacked Staff everyday to the point where we couldn't do the paperwork that needed to be done. The temps had more control over the unit than Staff did and were paid more. We didn't get a chance to go on outings due to Client behavior. It was just a very bad experience and I wouldn't recommend this place to no one. The pay is ridiculously low and I was definitely low balled seeing as though I have my Bachelors and 1 year worth of experience

      LCFS values our employees and is committed to their development with quality training, both internal and external. Employee safety is a priority at LCFS (and its programs such as Lutherbrook) and employee feedback is welcomed. Salaries are determined by a number of factors, including education and experience.
