Pros

Company paid lunch every Thursday.

Cons

You are told you can be the “captain of your own ship”. This is not true. You will be micromanaged to no end. The pay is the lowest in the industry for construction. I was always told “everyone loves it here and people don’t leave once they get in here”. Once you leave, you realize that almost every Homebuilder is better than this place. Monthly goal sessions can be beneficial but they want you to open up about your personal life. They say it’s because they “genuinely” care about you as a person. But once you are gone, everyone is instructed to lose contact with you. That’s really genuine. This is the worst run company I have ever seen. I saw another review saying they sell you on hopes and dreams. That is 100% accurate. Promise you the world but don’t come close to delivering. (Unless you are willing to become a robot) This company will take take take, and give very little.

Pros

On the job training, goal setting, better vacation and 401k benefits after 5 years

Cons

Long commutes, small bonuses on homes built, end of year bonuses based on company success (only received full bonus once out of the six years), never ending meetings, micromanaging managers, management not open minded to new ideas (told to “shelf” any new ideas or suggestions), no real cool people (company only hires drones or changes people into drones), company lingo enforced (cannot say “I” have to say “we”, cannot say “try” etc), real cult-y vibes, total boys club (newly hired males with less education and experience are promoted over women who have been with the company for years, only male managers, big awards/promotions go to males, etc), additionally company would prefer you to not have a personal life or to go home
