Pros

I love what I do here at LGI. I can't thank them enough for the opportunity it has given to me and my family. Biggest pro is the amazing training!! My start here kicked off with a training program, and training is every week after that as well. I was shocked - the CEO memorized all of our names during training after meeting us ONCE. It was nuts! I knew I had found the right place after that, he even had us all over for dinner at his house. Amazing! The company is also growing fast, so there is lots of room for advancement ahead.

Cons

Have to work on the weekends - but I was used to that coming from car sales. That is when the money comes in.

Pros

Great concept. Great initial training. Smart and respectable owners.

Cons

As the company grows, the founders see less of how things run and the local upper Management are desperate to save their jobs at the expense of dedicated employees. The company is not run the way it was intended, by the core values instilled upon hire. Instead, it becomes every man for himself in an endless game of who can get the lenders on their side so they will show up to work and do their job and get loans closed, so your office can meet its numbers. The lenders pick who ever has the most clout in the company for fear of having no work at all. So offices are neglected as there is also a shortage of man power and the few lenders avail scurry to assist the higher ranking manager and his office. Rules regarding the length of time for contracts are ignored behind the scenes and the corporate officials never catch the inaccuracies because there is always warning prior to their arrival. They see numbers so all seems well. Lack of maturity from upper Management also an issue. Threatening and dysfunctional atmosphere.

Thank you for the review. Your feedback is disappointing, as it is not a reflection of our company culture. We truly believe that Sales Consultants are the most important employees at LGI Homes, and we reward accordingly. A comprehensive benefits package, uncapped bonus structure, opportunities for employee recognition, and a sales vacation bonus are just a few perks that we offer Sales Consultants. We appreciate the time you took to leave the review, and thank you again for the feedback. Best of luck.
