Pros

Work- life balance is stressed as being important. My coworkers are great. The company culture is strong and this company is overall extremely ethical. I have met the CEO and work relatively close to him compared to other homebuilders. Management gives you space but trains well.

Cons

Pay is not the best in the industry, but it is certainly fair

Pros

They pay you 2.5% commission, and give you TONS of leads. You are not responsible for ANY marketing. You can make $40,000 or you can make $300,000. It’s up to your ability to learn the tricks of the system quickly and work as much as you can. The company is designed for its own success. NOT YOURS. Keep that in mind and you’ll do well if you are single with no kids and are driven SOLELY by money.

Cons

Hours suck. There are 12 hour days. You will be treated like an employee and micromanaged. The company is run like a car lot. Leads come in, get dispersed and then get HARD sold. Management is trained to sell you on the IDEA of the company in the same way you are trained to sell home buyers on the IDEA of LGI homes. There is a lot of dishonesty. When /if you raise attention, you are guided along to just go with the flow. The company refuses to innovate and still had an old outdated paper system that shuns technology.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear that you are enjoying our competitive commission and bonus structure. It is no secret that our sales employees work a lot of hours. Those that are wiling to put in the time, definitely reap the rewards. We encourage you to bring any of your concerns to your manager to make sure they get solved.

Pros

Clear Office Culture: You know what is expected of you. Systems-based Company

Cons

If you are not a person to engage daily/monthly with management about work/life goals, then working for LGI might be awkward.
