      Terrible experience at LHC Group-Hospice Division

      Pros

      Absolutely loved the local office staff. In spite of many challenges they were a true team locally.

      Cons

      Management. Lots of advancing within which would be fantastic if the promotions were appropriate. In our office the regional management is terrible. Perhaps in other regions they are stronger. There is simply not enough practical training. Lots of generic computer training as expected to meet guidelines but the management is so poor they will not (or perhaps cannot) provide what is needed.

      Shift: M-F 8am to 5pm

      Cons

      Management sucks! If you aren't a nurse you are overlooked and treated poorly. You can work your fingers off bc its understaffed and UNderpaid for the HEAVY workload and found out only higher management such as Branch Manager, Director, etc.. get cut bonus checks although everyone else do all the hardwork. Messy office. Culture and values SUCK!!!! It's not about saving lives its about MONEY!!!!

      Pros

      good patient training references in the electronic charting software. not having to take patient supplies, ordering the supplies on the computer. Not being stuck in an office with all the drama going on....

      Cons

      poor management, too many chiefs and not enough Indians! Almost more office staff nurses as field nurses. Unrealistic job expectations, too heavy of a patient load to do everything corporate requires. Morale extremely low due to overworked and underpaid staff. Poor orientation program. Corporate more focused on how things look on the computer charting than the patient care that is actually being given.
