If I could give it 3.5 stars, I would. LHC is an extremely large company that purchases struggling home health and hospice agencies. Their ‘vision’ is acceptable, but they need resources/people to back it up!
Depending on your territory/market you can make a decent living but be mindful on how much competition you’re up against. If you reside in a city where there’s no limitations on how many home health/hospice agencies within that city, do not expect to make anymore than your base salary. It’s impossible.
LHC repeatedly changes the commission structure.. plus, once you hit your goal for 3mo they double it so you’re constantly on the hamster wheel, trying to make a commission.
Expected to make 60 calls every single week but have 2-3 agency meetings per day. Managers down your throat constantly about Medicare referrals (because they only make money on traditional Medicare) however, the majority of the patients now do not have traditional Medicare. AND, your only hope for commission is if you bring in traditional Medicare. No bonus, commission on other payors. 95% of home health agencies give commission on every referral. Not LHC.
You have to answer to an executive director, clinical director, sales director, and sales manager while no one is on the same page. EVER!
If you decide to get a job as an AE here, you must counter your base salary offer because that’s all you get!
Health insurance is more than other companies I’ve worked for.
Their marketing material is awful. Outdated and not creative.
