Declining workplace culture and weak Senior Leadership

Pros

- Majority of employees are incredibly talented and supportive of each other - Many roles have a lot of autonomy and freedom to manage own workload - Worthwhile and meaningful work that positively impacts many people - Opportunities are there to learn and develop your own skills

Cons

- Senior Leaders frequently promote company values externally that employees struggle to see reflected internally and there is a growing disconnect between executive messaging and operational reality - Employee feedback is encouraged in theory but rarely influences outcomes -Promotions often depend on internal positioning rather than impact or measurable contribution - Recent restructuring and redundancy processes were handled with limited transparency and sensitivity towards affected employees - deeply saddening considering the industry we are in - Leadership decisions in the past year have contributed to declining morale and reduced confidence in organisational direction

Pros

Good PTO Remote Work Cheap-ish Benefits

Cons

The culture on the team became so toxic. It was not only tolerated to gossip about your peers in your 1:1, it was encouraged. People were afraid to speak up about what was going on. This was a great company for a long time, but has lost its heart.

Pros

Some strong, supportive direct managers who genuinely care about their teams Talented coworkers who work hard despite increasing pressure Remote flexibility Good training early on, before culture shifted

Cons

Since a new president was brought in about a year and a half ago, the culture continues to decline Heavy micromanagement and rigid KPIs that prioritize activity volume over actual results Even high performers are constantly asked to justify their numbers, creating a “PIP-like” atmosphere for everyone Increased pressure for aggressive sales tactics Recruiting practices that feel unethical, including requesting references in first conversations and promoting roles that don’t exist to generate leads Push toward in-office work that contradicts what many employees were hired for High turnover and declining morale, with many long-tenured and top-performing employees leaving or burning out Constant scrutiny with little trust or autonomy
