Pros
The benefits are alright. There is a good inflow of work. I love my fellow EIT's in the bull pit. There is a 9/80 work week. I've heard great things about the work environment for the Transpo div out of other offices (not HOU) Fellow EIT's will help each other as much as we can. We love our team!
Cons
AT THIS MOMENT IN TIME (HOU OFFICE): Management is reluctant to make real changes and address key problems brought to them by their employees. Burnout is a real thing! I wish our work environment was a bit more fun and inviting. There are no options for partial work from home available. Some, not all, management has a strange unjustified mistrust of their employees. Some managers "teacher" new employees with a tough luck mentality. Some managers like to throw their subordinates under the bus for their (the manager) own misjudgments and bad calls. This is fixable and with time I'm sure it will get better.
